Sitting at Lunch

Rose sat with Em and Val waiting for everyone else to sit down. She folded her arms and looked around the cafeteria.

Jimi looked at the food and made a disgusted face. He still grabbed a tray, attempting his luck as passing for human. Walking out of the line, he glanced around looking for a spot. Picking a nice secluded table, Jimi sat down and picked at the food.

Alice noticed a new student walk into the cafeteria. What surprised her the most was that he was a vampire, one who could control himself around humans so well. Rose looked away from him but didn't stop thinking about him.

Edward was close enough behind Valerie for her to read Rose's mind. "He new?" she asked with a smirk from her spot beside Emmett.

Jimi didn't like this whole going back to school thing, well he'd never actually gone to school really. He caught another girl looking at him and he tilted his head up to acknowledge her. She was definitely pretty, not to mention a vampire. She wasn't the only one either.

Rose turned to glare at Valerie. "Shut your mouth and get out of my head. Remind me why I saved you all those years ago?" she asked quietly.

Jimi decided the food wasn't worth it and he tossed it in the trash, only saving a can of soda. He casually walked over to the table Rosalie was at, pretending to examine his schedule. "Sorry to bother you but, do you mind helping me find my next class?" Jimi shot a disarming grin at her.

Val laughed and sat down. "Good luck with that one buddy."

Rosalie stared at him and raised an eyebrow. "Let me see your schedule."

Jimi handed the neatly folded paper to her without a word.

Rose noticed they had the same schedule. "Alright. I can show you." she said with a sigh and looked around for Alice. She had been giving Rose weird looks all week and wanted answers.

Val's eyebrows shot up. Rose never helped anyone, unless she was made by Carlisle.

Jimi grinned and held out a hand. "I'm Jimi Kanst by the way."

Alice looked at him then his hand. She shook it and nodded. "Rosalie Hale. This is my family, Valerie and Emmett. Edward, Alice, and Jasper are on their way."

"A whole family of you guys?" Jimi blinked in surprise. "I've never knew our type to flock together."

"That's because we're all a clan. Thanks to Carlisle. Not to mention, we're all vegitarians. Although, Rose is the only one who's never cheated." Val said smiling.

Rose smirked glad for the attention.

Jimi smiled. "Impressive, I wish I could say the same about myself. I've never run into a clan so well integrated into society."

"Yeah, well we've had years to practice."

Alice smiled when she walked into the cafeteria and it just widened more when she saw who Rose was with. She had seen him coming and knew that the two would become mates. "Hello Rose, Val, Em. Hello Jimi, I'm Alice and this is my mate, Jasper. You don't know me but I know you."

"I bet." Jimi turned his attention to the newcomer. "That's not creeper like at all. I obviously don't have to introduce myself."

"That's Alice, she see's the future. That's her gift, Edwards is mind reading, Emmett's is super super strength, Jasper controls emotions, and Val's is mimicking powers."

"Wonderful. I chose the one town where every vampire could wipe the floor with me." Jimi snorted sarcastically.

Rose actually smiled but quickly hid it from her family.

Jimi grinned at Rosalie and decided to take a seat at the table. "So how long have you guys been in the area?"
